May 17, 2020 - Served blind. Translucent brick red. Brown spices and red fruit on the nose that were absolutely beguiling. I had though that it was likely VR because of the spice. Elegant in the mouth with some nice acidity. Surprised to see it was GC on the reveal but I am horrible at identifying wines so... I guess not that surprising and, in the end, Fourrier made complete sense. This is the kind of stuff I love and why I keep emptying my wallet in Burgundy.

November 2, 2019 - Bing cherries, cranberries, wood, nice Pinot funk and medium tannin. Tart end of the spectrum. Seems like a classic 10’ as opposed to a ripe 09’.

June 29, 2019 - Expressive nose displaying perfect ripe red fruit with a hint of black, raspberry, cranberry, strawberry jam, a hint of blackberry, coffee, incense, a hint of sous bois, iron, cinnamon and earth. Beautifully integrated palate, nicely layered generous red fruit, rich yet silky and polished, perfect amount of acidity and iron mineral, and a long sweet red fruit driven finish with incense at the end. Perhaps another ten years of cellaring will bring out lovely sous bois. However, this is drinking incredibly well. This is a gorgeous village wine that gives me immense pleasure.

August 8, 2017 - It has settled wonderfully. Vibrant red fruit driven nose, cranberry, strawberry rhubarb tart, cinnamon and mineral. Medium concentration, very precise and energetic, bright red fruit, good acidity, strong mineral presence and a medium to long cherry and mineral driven finish. Still need another five years to gain sous bois. Really enjoyable in very youthful way.

April 28, 2017 - opened and poured, this wine gives and excellent showing. The aromatics shows youthful dark fruits and spice notes combined with some underlying maturing elements. The color is a tarnished medium ruby. The medium bodied palate is expressive and detailed. The wine gives a medium length finish. This is at or around its peak.
