March 6, 2024 - There may have been trouble storing this one. Tasted it for over an hour. Got to a decent flavor about 30 minutes in but never got to its full potential.
December 31, 2022 - Popped for an hour
OK, this is what I was looking for from Q! Much better than my last bottle from a month ago. This wine has real energy. Red apple, prune and sugar plum some boysenberry on nose. Dark fruit flavors. Tobacco cedar box. Good minerality, and some vegetal, nice mint cherry, dark chocolate, hints of truffle. Nice weight. I still think this is as good as it gets for the 09. Good 25 second finish. Still has decent acid so can last longer, but not getting any better IMO. Has some Bordeaux. Almost St. Julien IMO.
November 25, 2022 - Drank over 3hours
Nice wine, but in my opinion it’s probably past peak if only slightly . Smoke, dark chocolate, baking spices wet slate, blueberry, plum and strawberry on nose, fruit is not really felt on palette. A little bitter on finish, nice component. Seems a little tired. Not dead, but not what it once was. Shame as these wines usually punch above their price. Drink em if you have em. I have one more and will probably drink for Christmas.

February 12, 2022 - Blackberry with Ripe Plum hint of leather, and just a hint of vanilla. Starts off soft and explodes with expressive blue/black fruit. Silky soft tannins and well integrated Acidity. Super long finish with ripe fruit and cassis. Great wine and a shame it was the last of the 2009's.
November 30, 2021 - Great bottle. Developing tertiary and primary dropping out at this point. Very good
November 29, 2021 - Tasting amazing right now. Let it sit open for 9 hours, even out of the bottle it was fantastic, but got better as it opened up.

May 23, 2021 - This wine is READY TO DRINK!! If you have this wine in your cellar, don’t wait more than the next 1-2 years. It was beautiful from the pull to 2 hours after. I’m thankful I have a couple more to enjoy, but I will be drinking them soon as this wine is in peak condition! Wow! One of the best Q’s I’ve had (and that’s saying something).
