Community Tasting Notes 9

June 19, 2020 - Supports the wisdom (seldom shared) that a well made zin will age well. At 9 years, this is one of those. However, upon first taste, not so great. Something was off. No tasting on day 2. On the third day the wine became much better, the odd after taste almost completely gone.

July 29, 2019 - Excellent old vine characteristics. If this is not your cup of wine, don’t buy it.

March 29, 2018 - We had this last night with ribs; wow, what a combination! We've long known about Zichichi wine sand have enjoyed many over the years. This one seems to be our favorite. Big & bold, smooth, well balanced and complex but not hot nor overpowering. Wonderful dark fruit with nicely integrated spice. We have more Zichchi in our cellar, but alas, no more 2011. Enjoy it now; it's ready to drink.

November 10, 2016 - Yeah. This is really smooth. Rich fruit, but not jammy and no heat. Impressed.

May 28, 2016 - Juicy nose. Flavor throughout. Nice, even finish. Mid-palate burst but not an over-powering punch in the mouth. This may be my favorite Zichichi zin to date!
