April 13, 2020 - I cannot imagine this wine was designed to live this long, but here we are. Huge Spring bouquet when the cork was popped, it was like walking into a field of waist-high wildflowers. Beautiful color. Definitely gewurtz but not overpoweringly so, this is a delicious white blend with weight and balance.

July 24, 2017 - As we say where I am from when you are not quite sure of something, it is interesting...at first I was overwhelmed by the spice of the gewurtz but after a bit it either meshed or I lost my taste but after an hour or so this drank very nicely, especially for an older white that I am not sure is meant to age so long??

December 25, 2015 - That's what I'm talking about. Was looking for something to start off the Christmas day that was complex, interesting, and delicious. This will do just fine.

Pretty straw color, and beautiful white florals on the nose, with just a touch of honey. Could smell this all day. On the palate, you can taste the Riesling and Gewurz, with Riesling probably taking the lead, but some slight lychee and spice from the Gewurztraminer that adds complexity. Stone fruit on the finish caps this off perfectly. Really enjoyed this wine, and it went down fast (probably too fast). Drinking incredibly well now, but no harm holding for a couple more years if you have multiples (which sadly I do not) and want to see this develop in an intellectual way. Merry Christmas!

May 21, 2014 - Drank with Brad and Brian after some good reds. this was excellent, fresh vibrant, tasty. My guess is that the drinking window will extend way past 2014. This is the only white I have ever ordered from Carlisle as I have been a club member for years. It will not be the last!

November 1, 2013 - Very aromatic with peach, apricot and litchee notes - very much the gewurtz component coming through. Lots of tropical fruit balanced by minerality. More complex after an hour or so. Terrific example of an old style field blend.

September 11, 2013 - Popped and poured, then finished a couple nights later. Aroma of pineapple and apricot, with some minerals. Taste really has the minerals, and the fruit isn't as prominent but the apricot is in there. Finish has a pretty high level of acidity. I think this probably has at least a year to really shed that and make it at its best.
