Community Tasting Notes 4

January 19, 2015 - Gave it an hour decant and consumed over 2 days. Rather young on the first day, showing lean characteristics of cool-climate syrah. After lots of air, it started to show some nice tar, leather and herbs. It was considerably better on day 2. This performed above my expectation.

May 8, 2013 - Didn't need much time to open up.

October 28, 2012 - Barnyard, graphite, tobacco and funk on the nose. Sour cherry and stone flavors with hints of tar. Bright, punchy tannins. A delicious, "Burgundian-style" northern rhone wine. Medium to full bodied.

February 19, 2012 - Young, acidity and blue fruit - drinking it on the cold side with steak frites - perfect combo for syrah and north rhone.
