June 29, 2023 - Quite dry and austere, backed by receding black cherry fruit. Mid weight. Quite grippy structure of acidity and tannins. Medium, some complexity. Drink up.

June 20, 2023 - PnP. From magnum. Light color, no sign of age. Violets, raspberries and cherries. A bit of forest floor after some time in the glass. Medium body, light tannins. Subtle and easy going. Good acidity and fruit flavours. Lovely mouthfeel!

August 22, 2022 - Chablis and Red Côte de Beaune Dinner (Portofino - Chicago IL): Popped-and-poured, alongside the 2010 Chouacheux. I guess Rich didn't want to carry home any wine. Red and black cherry with some meat and plum notes. Big and robust start, then surprisingly less forthcoming from the middle forward. Lots here, but better from 2025.

August 1, 2022 - Pretty nose, bright fruit, a bit vegetal.
    Light-bodied.
Nicely balanced wine, easy drinking but nothing special here.

January 30, 2022 - Opened and let it sit in the bottle for about 2 hours. Subtle yet ethereal nose of violet, cherries, some Earthy notes.
Still surprisingly young on the mid-palate, very good acidity, a decent amount of red fruits, and then mushrooms and some nice musky notes, a bit of oak/vanilla, peppery notes, grippy tannins. This will age well and likely improve some. A good find.

October 28, 2021 - Double Blind: Burgundy Style Point Noir $50 - $100 CAD: [Tasted Double Blind] This pours very light ruby in the glass. The fruit profile on the nose is very tart and red and not terribly present really. Besides that there is cheese rind, a touch of burlap, and some green plant stem which doesn't appeal a lot to me at this stage in its development. The palate is a little tough showing some green tinged acid, medium minus tannin, and finishes a little bitter. I was quite disappointed on reveal, as I've enjoyed this wine a little more in the past, but never been blown away by it to be honest. I have some in the cellar so hoping it turns the corner in the years ahead.

October 14, 2018 - A bit tight in the beginning but after 5-6 hours and decanting it opens up beautifully. Cool strawberries. Nice tannins. Orange zest and sage. Wet haystack and tobacco. Very nice today and will prolly evolve even better in 5+ years. Good one!

September 21, 2018 - A real surprise. Nice red fruits, elegant tannins and some nice tension and ready to drink now or hold for another 5-7 years. An excellent value.
