December 9, 2020 - Excellent cork. Needs decanting from deposit. Colour fairly dense, quite some red, fairly mature. Nose very northern Rhône ripe but not overly sweet, lively and pleasing. Some tannin, quite solid wine, alcohol just noticeable but well balanced by acid. Quite well rounded mouth feel. Still a few years to improve but not so long that the tannin diminishes too much. Needs some air, it was a bit harsh on opening but not for long. I'm happy to keep for a few years.
July 25, 2019 - Sharp red fruit, red currents, medium length.
June 28, 2019 - Oaky, ripe style with abundant vanilla fudge, sweet spice, liquorice, and grilled meat. Smooth, sweetish, somewhat alcoholic, 'yummy' but not very fresh. Ready now, won't improve with further cellaring. Bottom line: a pity on fine Mauves vineyards.
June 23, 2019 - Suave hinting at modern, but undeniably delightful.
June 22, 2019 - Day 2. Smooth, with pepper, sweetness and spice. Red fruit, bramble, good length.
February 23, 2019 - Succulent, cool fruited, broadly flavoured and with some proper textural dimension to it. Splendid stuff.
August 30, 2018 - Lovely structured Syrah, mineral and liquorice, long and refined.
March 24, 2018 - Very well handled Syrah. Precision and focused fruit, nice mineral backbone. Delightful!
October 25, 2015 - similar to prior tasting, though is coming around nicely. Reserved, supple mouthfeel, nicely balanced, slight heat from alcohol. Olives/olivewood. Should be drinking great in another year or so.
November 22, 2014 - Great nose earth, blood, lingonberry, garrigue, leather, some nicely handled new oak. Thinnish on the mid palate, but elegant and the most interesting of the three bottlings I tried.
