January 27, 2023 - This has mellowed nicely since my last bottle in 2018 and is now showing plenty of Hunter character. It is soft, spicy, deft and well-rounded with a giving and generous texture. An excellent counterpoint to the bigger, richer wines on show. Drinking well now and over the next 5 years.

March 17, 2019 - Disappointing lack of structure at 10 years old. All the fruit notes that normally make Hunter shiraz drinkable had faded away. Wasn't really worth the money or cellaring time.

July 6, 2013 - One for the future. Tight, spicey and waiting to open up, we decanted this bottle for an hour before consumption. It was still going strong 24 hours later. A deep plum with no signs of age, a nose of spice and "refined" black/red berries, a palate a slightly shrill acid, ine gripping tannins and a core of fruity goodness, I'm going to leave my other bottles for 3-5 years at least, and the rest of them for about 10. Nice now, but potentially really good.
