July 30, 2020 - Dark red with some bricking around the edges. Molasses, spiced rum, and tobacco nose. Full bodied, chocolate covered cherries, smoke, black olives, old woody tannins, and a medium length, burnt-caramel finish. Drinkable, but past its prime.

January 8, 2017 - Drinking beautifully. Nice acidity that belies the 15.8 alcohol. Plush fruit with a nice spicy finish.

October 7, 2016 - Not the oak bomb I remembered from years ago when I first drank this. Earthy, fig, dark fruit and a light spice on the nose. Very smooth and earthy with a mature oak. A very long spiced finish with low tannins
