March 2, 2024 - Worried it might have been past its prime to start but decanted it and it opened up beautifully. Rich but with good minerality and classic floral and honeysuckle nose. It was my first try of Montille's negotiante wines but I was impressed.
April 28, 2022 - Cotton candy sweet as gold, lemme see that tootsie ROLL. On point, but a little sucrosite that was off balance left me to think that this had peaked a little earlier in time. Still very enjoyable now. Enjoy with something rich and seafood. We did.
September 28, 2016 - score is for night two, oh boy this was nice with sweet and tart palate, nice acidity, some (med minus) richness which provided a nice mouthfeel and good finish in the throat, tasty and slightly hedonistic, but still the brightness of P/M showed through
November 17, 2015 - NR, Tiff opened for her book club, tasted it when decanted and wasn't impressed
May 19, 2015 - NR as i wasn't concentrating on tasting, but i would say that i tasted in the thirty minutes after decanting and thought it seemed a bit disjointed (clearly relative to my prior note on the wine), wouldn't have called it tense and bright this time around, seemed like the oak treatment was in an awkward spot
September 29, 2014 - Citrus lemon and apple. Well balanced and full bodied Chardonnay with nice minerality.
August 22, 2014 - Exotic; a prominent saline note, cream, tropical and stone fruit. Might knit together with a couple more years in bottle, but wouldn't pay the price to find out.
February 17, 2014 - no notes taken but this was beautiful (and stood tall coming on the heels of a 2010 Billaud-Simon Preuses), a big hit for all the bridge players, i had the last glass the next night and it was even better, great acidity and citrus dominant
