February 8, 2022 - Beautiful, intense, concentrated. Fruit recedes, flor and age take center. Great acid, big body. A pleasure. Excellent.

January 14, 2022 - Dark golden color; turning to amber, close to an amontillado...
Strong nose: brine with hints of formaldehyde.
On the palate quite intense and concentrated, almost biting with more of the same impressions. Long finish. After a while a bit of nuttiness shows up..
This is not a fino sherry for the faint-hearted.
Drank the second half of the bottle on the second day: although the bottle was kept in a fridge and was re-corked, the wine had lost a lot of its punch and was merely a fino sherry with some age characteristics .
The lesson: this type of wine needs to be drunk in one fell swoop : one bottle for 4-6 people would be ideal..

December 28, 2017 - Tasted only on the second day, so perhaps not a fair impression. Yeasty smell. Quite saline tasting, very dry with some lemony tang. Quite concentrated.

June 15, 2016 - This was bottled in 2015. Wonderful edition of this wine. Savory, intense, pungent, and with lovely purity and balance. Compelling fino.

October 18, 2015 - At Racion: Pale darker yellow-amber; gorgeous nose on this--lost my notes but very unique, stellar balance and complexity for a fino (of 8 years average age); I remember some fruit-like notes with tell-tale almondy, soft aldehyde notes, no real roasty notes; intense and long finish. Pretty much at the pinnacle of finos, along with the Sacristia AB.
