October 23, 2019 - Nose of black cherry and herbs. Entry of figs, ripe plum, black tea, sweeter pipe tobacco. Had a very nice and pleasing black cherry backbone. Very good acidity up front, with still more of a stiff finish than I expected for 10 years. Hint of truffle and mushroom on the finish as well. On a lesser year, this one in my opinion would already be on the decline slightly. However, I feel this one has great structure and balance for almost 10 years old in a good year for CDP.

April 28, 2019 - Pretty dumb and uninteresting at open.. deanted for two hours and it began to come alive.. followed with a 2007 CDP from Vieux Telegraphe

April 27, 2019 - Can't get enough of this producer- one of the great values of the Southern Rhone.

Drank at Passover dinner with traditional fare.

These wines seem to really put on weight and complexity with bottle age. Lots of complex red and black fruit and "garrigue" characteristics. Full bodied with a long finish.

You never know with Grenache , but I am sure this will continue to gain complexity for another 5-10 years. The 2007's -especially "la Lousianne" are just stunning now.
