March 29, 2024 - Perhaps better than my last bottle. Very well, structured with quintessential, Napa Cabernet fruit, stone element, minerals, crushed rock, and jam.

December 9, 2023 - Rich and volumptous as expected. High tone dusty berry fruit, some cedar and oak. Concentrated but not cloying.

July 18, 2023 - This is a tremendous bottle of wine. Definitely lives up to a Bordeaux style. This is very elegant and Lafite like - Beautiful fruits and oh so sweet tannins. Lingering finish. Need to throw it into a blind tasting for sure.

January 21, 2023 - This bottle was corked, had to move to Shafer Hillside Select for the wine dinner $325 and I bought 2 bottles. If the one other one is corked I’ll be pissed

December 8, 2022 - Dec 8, 2022. Very powerful wine. Virtually explodes in the mouth with strong black fruit and slight graphite notes. Incredibly long finish with very pleasant tannins.

June 24, 2022 - Drank beautifully. Dark cab fruit. Still some tannins. My son thought it was better than the ‘08 Bryant we drank. Great with steak.

April 24, 2022 - Decanted for an hr and it needed it. Upon opening, the profile was thin. Over time the body of the wine become fuller and lucious. A nice alternative to its big brother. Drink/Hold

March 17, 2022 - A truly great wine......having said that, it's only a point ahead of what else was presented tonight. Great cab, perfumed nose with graphite and depth of fruit. For me, this was WOTN at first sniff.....but it changed downward marginally throughout the evening. Early on the cab franc dominated but then some shifting took place. It seemed to me that all the wines at the table shuffled their scores back and forth over the 5 hours we were sitting there. Thanks for bringing this one to the table, James.

March 17, 2022 - The wine opened with an off pudding plumb nose and taste. Totally disjointed. After four hours of air a beautiful wine evolved. Totally mature with balanced plumb and blue fruits. The 2009 version seemed to be Bordeaux style and due to age there were tertiary characteristics. It was growing in intensity after 5 hours. Beautiful wine and best among a 2009 Cardinal (95), 2016 Vangone (95), 2016 Janesse CDP (95), 2018 B cellars George III (95), and 2015 MaCaulley (93). I downgraded the MacCauley because it’s finish was too floral for my palette. Thank you to Markpt1 and HMC for bringing the B Cellars and MacCauley. It was fun and thanks for helping Dan understand the nuances of wine.
