Somber, backward, cooler green profile. Medium weight, fairly fluid entry that is quickly closed down by sneaky acidity, minerality, and a dry, tannic finish. Classic and uncompromising, this needs more time.

    April 11, 2019 - Good but not great at this stage. Even a lengthy decant didn’t coax much out of it. Aromatically complex with some restrained cherry fruit on the palate and a mighty wall of tannin on the finish. Will wait on remaining bottles and see if they become more interesting.

    December 21, 2018 - This was amazing on release. It’s amazing now. Hard to imagine it will ever be anything but amazing in the future. This has electric red and dark fruits, serious depth, and layered complexity. Young but the structure is so fine that it’s super drinkable. Long and grand and just marvelous. A masterpiece.
