September 6, 2020 - A magnificent bottle of wine. Beautiful tonight after 2 1/2 hours in a decanter. Rich and elegant with great fruit, nuance and balance. Plenty of legs yet but hard to find fault with it now.

August 19, 2020 - Tasted over two days. Not what I expected. Either, while concentrated, intensely reticent and not budging an inch even on the second day, or over extracted, showing an ever-so-slight bitterness at the back. I do not recall over extraction when previously tasting this bottle, nor have I encountered another Saint Cosme offering that was over extracted. Thus, I lean toward the probability that the wine, this bottle at least, was not ready, and offended that I attempted to wake it up.

All this aside. The bouquet and profile feature pepper, garrigue, crushed black rocks, tobacco, coal, ash, and intense smokiness, including meat smokehouse, lit cigar, and charred earth. It does not lack for acid or tannin either.

Recommend letting it rest for a few more years.

May 8, 2020 - Dark, no bricking at all. Lots of dark berries on the nose and herbs too. Heavy tannins and long finish.

March 6, 2020 - The wine is approaching perfection. After an hour of being opened the wine is singing with aromatics of crushed blueberry, cherry fruit and a distinct sulphuric aroma. On the palette the wine is enveloping on the tongue with a creamy mouthfeel, balanced acidic reaction in mouth, viscous texture, and round fruits. Finish is long and lingering with black olive flavors and mulberry dominating.
