Complex dark fruit nose with a smooth clean palate.

January 16, 2017 - Very clean, pure nose alpine strawberry, raspberry, cherry compote, a hint of spice. Again fruit-driven on the palate, with plenty of juicy sour cherry, cranberry, red fruit, and prominent, well-managed acidity. Mellow, well-integrated tannins. Not much in the way of the mineral and leather notes that are more to my taste in a serious Barolo, this is a bottle that focuses very much on accessibility. It is easy-drinking and fruit-forward and frankly lacks seriousness. Not a huge amount of depth, and a prominent creaminess on the palate from the use of barrique. It's feminine, and not without its charm, but all too eager to please and not my style of Barolo. Still, this is competently made and is currently drinking very well. Reasonable value for money.

August 12, 2016 - Ruby core with amber at the edge. Benefits from a brief decanting. Smooth and long on the palate, with good fruit and moderate complexity. Drink soon.

November 4, 2014 - Very easy drinking now. Bruised red cherry fruit on the perfectly balanced finish. I've never tasted this producers wines before but all three I tasted on the night have a very accessible style, accessible style which makes them approachable at a young age.
