January 9, 2024 - Rich, ripe, and tannic. The tar and roses take a back seat to the density and purity of the dark cherry fruit, and mineral-earth notes. There is a touch of age apparent on the nose, and the palate is developing, but the wine has not yet reached its apogee of development. Great depth and complexity with more to come. A class act.
December 19, 2023 - Oooh. Glorious. More ready (barely perceptibly) to drink than it was several years ago. Enjoyed it.
October 1, 2023 - Super Barolo! Clean and powerful. Balanced and ready.
May 26, 2023 - Sweet red berries on the nose. Fully developed but no tertiary notes yet. The profound sweet continues on the palate. Tannins super gentle now, typically takes 15 years for Brovia single vineyards. There is a very impressive precision to this wine. I think a signature trait for Brovia. The sweetness stays with you a long time. Brovia is in the champions league in Piedmont.
February 6, 2023 - Delicious.
Opened 5 hours before drinking.
Tasted at opening:
Lighter color, some bricking at the meniscus. Taste now is ever so slightly, but not quite burnt, touch of sour cherry.
Later:
It's not burnt, it's an older Barolo, and drinking beautifully. Light in body, rich in flavor, smooth, with a remarkable finish - tart, slightly sour, long long long. Cherry, tart plum, red currant; cinnamon,
Rated +2 on a scale of -1 to +3.
January 23, 2023 - Opened for 3 hours. Did not decant. It had some light sediment.
Quite youthful with lots of red fruit. There is a bit of the tar and roses profile, but it was really dominated by the youthful red fruit. Some minerally hints also. Well structured still. Will wait on this one.

December 10, 2022 - PnP. Much better on night two. Needs time or a good decant. 14.5%
September 23, 2022 - Faded ruby. Black cherry and fragrant herb. Light, excellent savory/fruit mix, but it ultimately proved to be slightly musty and corked.
April 16, 2021 - Lighter ruby. Yeast, red licorice and rubber nose. A bit edgy. Lighter bodied with lots of acid - very tight. I don't know if this was slightly off. Others liked it more than me. Hard edged wine. (92+?)
