May 11, 2018 - They said this wine can lay down for 30 years. Not true. It tastes like it wanted to be a sauterne. Completely oxidized. It probably was good 3 years ago, if that.

December 1, 2014 - Oh my does this show the barrel influence. Aromas of barrel spice; nutmeg, clove and cinnamon, with notes of vanilla and butter, applewood smoke and jasmine. Following behind are scents of dried banana, baked apple, poached pear, white fig and golden tobacco.
On the palate, full and again echoing the barrel influence with baking spice, nutmeg and clove, vanilla, salted butter, baked apples, pears, white fig and dried bananas. Acid is medium/medium+ and alcohol is medium-plus. the finish lingers with flavors of spice and buttered vanilla baked apples.
Overall not at all what I was expecting, but pleasantly surprised. Blind tasted this wine and was way off. for those who like oaken sauvignon blanca, this is for you!
June 21, 2014 - Soft, supple, and round. No harsh edges. A delightfully rich, non-chardonnay from Napa.
February 1, 2014 - Pale straw color. Pretty nose of tropical fruits and citrus with a bit of vanilla and some crushed rocks and powder. Very clean and refreshing aromas. Similar flavors on the palate with more citrus than tropical fruit notes and a touch of green apple. The oak was not overdone (which has sometimes been an issue for me with this wine in prior vintages) so it gave just the right amount of creaminess to the wine but the wine was still crisp and clean. Medium acid. Smooth mouthfeel and finish. Very nice Cali sauv blanc.
November 23, 2012 - Delicate nose of green apple. Very mellow with nice complexity. Very rich Sauvignon Blanc. Very clean finish.
