June 17, 2021 - Tasted blind. Rip cassis and blueberry, with vanilla and Eucalyptus pointing to Napa. Well balanced palate with polished tannins. I liked this because it has very classic proportions. Not too sweet like so many Napa wines.

June 5, 2021 - Pnp. Classic Napa profile. Ready to drink. Not special but enjoyable. The nose exceeded the palate but still good

March 22, 2020 - Lovely floral notes. This is not your typical big, bold California cab. It is delicate but somehow still holds up well with steak. We might be a tad past the recommended drinking window, but the wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

February 29, 2020 - Med + ruby. Med + aromas of black cherry, black currant, cedar, dried herbs and subtle oak spice. The palate is dry, with generous amounts of fruit, consistent with the nose. Med. acidity, tannins and medium alcohol (13.5%). Very well balanced and smooth, with med ) flavor intensity and length. It is probably at its peak, and not likely to improve with further aging, but it is in a really good place now. Great with food or by itself as a sipper, it almost has Old World elegance about it.

December 4, 2015 - Eye: Crimson, nearly opaque just short
Nose: Raspberry, Black and blue fruits with pepper and clove
Palate: Juicy Black fruits, mocha and dark chocolate with integrated tannins and a med finish.

Overall this was fully integrated and drinking silky smooth. Really enjoyed this with grilled sirloin. I think this wine could continue laying down another 1-3 years but you really don't need to wait. Enjoy!

July 21, 2015 - Opened and decanted for over an hour. It needed time. It really took over 2 hours to really get into it's stride. Beautiful dark fruit. Nicely integrated tannins. Long finish but the fruit fades. Tannins are still a little too forward. Needs more time but worth the wait

October 23, 2014 - We wouldn't have picked this as a cab. It is on the lighter side with red fruit and low to no tannins. It's not quite balanced, a little acidic, but does have nice fruit. We would have thought this to be a red blend with maybe a lot of Sangiovese in the blend.
