February 29, 2024 - No formal tasting notes. Opened for OTBN 2024 and took to Wine and Roses restaurant for dinner. Very complex and structured. Drinking beautifully now with a long finish

December 31, 2023 - Really sublte. This is my first MB, so it's hard to compare. Decanted for about 30 minutes. Got better and better as we sipped. I will probably decant longer for the next one. Very well balance, lots of leather, dust, etc. Really enjoyable!

December 30, 2023 - Opened this for our close friends visiting from out of town. More finesse than power and more subdued than a few other MBs I have had. Always a treat to pop the cork on these. Drinking well now.

December 26, 2023 - Ridge MB is a top 3 wine for me and by far my most collected wine. They are best at 20 years of age or more to me, but 2011 is in a great wndow. Yes not the greatest vintage, but that is what I like most. I like it not being a huge fruit bomb, 2011 with a 5 hour decant is classic MB. Bordeuax ringer, with cedar, blue fruits, and the Amercian Oak perfectly integrated. Ths wine is rounded out to near perfection. This will get better with time, but with a decant rip one open. Damn good!!!!
