November 20, 2021 - much better than the last bottle; no signs of aging; intense fruit, elegant sweetness, broad on the palate; long finish

November 21, 2020 - ruby color; some age in the nose; round, broad on the palate with good fruit; nice finish

September 15, 2018 - Showing its age upon opening but rounding out nicely after a one hour decant with very little sediment. Big, chewy, dark wine. Black, ripe Currants, leather, licorice, earth, cooking spices. Complimented a rich beef short rib, asparagus and sautéed potatoes perfectly.
I'd drink up within the next 6 to 12 months.

July 17, 2017 - Terrific big bold wine, dark purple, open nose, black currents dominate nose and taste. Solid long finish.

June 13, 2017 - Almost port-like, with its tannins resolved, this wine is in a great drinking window now.

This pours inky purple, totally translucent, without any sign of aging in the color. It's thick with fruit dried and preserved: blackberry jam, date, dried fig, with loads of fudgy dessert notes. The acidity is still present, which keeps this from being merely a cartoon, but this is a very American (Dave Phinney) take on southern France. Let me put it this way: we drank some with dark chocolate after dinner, and the dark chocolate was too dark/intense/bitter for the wine.

Nonetheless, this was completely delicious, and a total crowd-pleaser.
