March 18, 2024 - Relatively full and rich: great dark berry concentration, violet, some olive, meat and char but really it’s the fruit that leads the way. Just missing some of the bloody, irony complexity that would lead you to Cornas if tasting blind. Feels young on the palate - I’d give the next one at least 3 years.

May 15, 2023 - Solid straightforward cornas. Originally coravined some then opened the bottle and drank down to about three small pours left, and left, corked by my stove. Two weeks later I almost three it away but my brother wanted to try it. it was still fantastic! Thus, my conclusion is that this wine could still be great in 10 years. maybe better?

June 3, 2022 - Needs some time in the decanter. Was better the second night. Ripe and generous with solid structure. Secondary flavors through and through. Medium length.

June 3, 2022 - Drank over three days. A medium purple core fading to a deep ruby outer edge. A fragrant, elegant, and refined nose with a real depth of ripe black forrest fruits, cracked black pepper, wild game, and a floral lift of violets. A little disjointed on the palate where the wine moves in stages rather than as one complete harmonious offering and despite the supremely ripe Black Forrest fruits - framed by oak and tannins - there’s a disappointing lack of complexity and more importantly Norther Rhône typicality. Additional bottle age will hopefully correct this since right now we’re faced with a rich, powerful, almost opulent wine that’s a joy to drink but it’s a wine without a sense of place. There’s some skilful winemaking here no doubt.
