Drank with a great lunch on our patio and while not the finest pinot I've ever drank, it was perfect for the occasion. Similar to my last note on 6/2/18, but this one was in fine shape, won't get any better, but wasn't tired in the least.

June 2, 2018 - I have been holding the whatever Puffeney's I had left. Had three of these left and opened one last weekend. It was tired, and didn't want to hold the last cpuple. Opened another last night and much better. Really good. Soft and muted strawberry, tart cherry, cranberry, minerals, herbs, and a nice earthy streak. Cloudy, deep pink, and lots of sediment. Still won't hold the last one much longer. Drink them if you have any.

January 16, 2013 - My first Pinot from Puffeney. Totally translucent with nose that's kind of spicy (think radish) but earthy and floral at the same time. In the mouth it tastes like a blend of cherry, pomegranate and cranberry juices. It's probably a little too acidic for most people but that's what I like about it. I'm an acid junky. It finishes very dry, like a cat's tongue. The nose is what gets me though.

December 16, 2012 - I'm with Jonathan, this is a pretty big wine for a Jura pinot. Initially kind of funky on the nose, maybe reduction, and closed on the palate but with quite a bit of structure. Didn't get any of the cranberry/bright red fruit I like about Jura reds. I kept it for two more days and it smoothed out but is still a big-boned wine. Interested to see what comes of this.
