May 25, 2023 - From a magnum. Fruit and tannins in great harmony right now. Medium to full bodied with good structure.

October 24, 2020 - Tasted against 2009 and 2006 Veedercrest Mount Veeder. This wine was dryer and more "old school" than the riper and more oak influenced Veedercrest. More prominent on the nose and similar black and red fruits, fennel and vanilla. Very strong showing and also no big hurry. QPR at $75 certainly not as high as the Veedercrest at $50.

September 9, 2017 - Clear dark-ruby color. Aromas of black cherry & currant, violets, jasmine tea, allspice berry and cedar. Medium in body, showing ripe and fleshy fruit backed with floral spice depth consistent with the nose. Silky texture showing elegant weight throughout, really nice intensity and presence. Medium acid, fine tannins, finishing with fine length and depth. Showing beautifully, still very primary but expressive. Excellent- drink/hold.

  • Drinkrojo Does not like this wine: 80 points

July 2, 2017 - Berries on the nose. Watery on the palette and low tannins. Zero finish. Couldn't stand up to marinated flank steak. Not worth the $80 price for this wine. Waste of money, why did I buy this?
