April 10, 2015 - Fitting, after the Auslese Prum mislabeled as a Spatlese, here is a BA labeled as an Auslese. Deep gold color. An aroma that you can smell from across the room. Very rich, sticky-sweet syrupy tropical fruits. Puzzling wine with a bit of that mustard/horseradish/weirdness and a bit of VA-that-maybe-isn't-VA that also sometimes puzzles me. Plenty of balancing acidity. Dessert in a glass.

April 10, 2015 - Auslese my ass. This drinks more like an Eiswein with plenty of botrytis. The fragrance screams Eiswein with horseradish, ginger, and faint acetone notes on the nose, and on the palate it's a powerhouse of ripe tropical fruits drenched in honey, caramel, and higher toned spicy elements. Intensely sweet (well into the range of BA), but the sweetness is matched by plenty of acidity. Fantastic wine, and an insane value at $20.

June 8, 2012 - Intense and light on its feet. Fabulous! Very good balance, showing lovely right now, but no hurry. Mosel in a nutshell.
