    December 18, 2019 - Une autre de l'encan par l'ami Denis.
Jamais de 2ième vin que je lui avait pourtant dit.
Passé son prime, feuille morte et dilué.
    Dommage!

October 12, 2019 - Past prime but still interesting. Light garnet with some brick orange at the rim. Musty nose of damp leaves and mushroom. Still some fruit left in this; mostly light strawberry and raspberry. No tannins left so this is fairly one dimensional. Shows what a great house can do even in an off year.

January 24, 2019 - Pale garnet ... definitely showing its age and the vintage. Nose is quite clean -- not dead yet -- but also not that exciting. Palate shows a bit of dark fruit, graphite, a bit of cigar box. More mineral notes, not showing the forest floor / decay like the 1980 I opened yesterday. Palate was fine but not very interesting. Shows some structure, but light and likely not that interesting even when young.
