July 19, 2019 - This is still holding nicely on a delicious plateau. The nose is similar to prior bottles with dark berry fruits, anise, mint, tobacco leaf, worn leather, floral notes, and fresh plowed earth. The palate is definitely big with lots of fruit and spice notes, and a finishing note of anise and tobacco. Needs food and no notable decline so I am hopeful this has several years of good drinking remaining though I do recall one bottle that seemed more advanced.

July 17, 2019 - Summertime 2019 - Lake House and Arlington: Appealing nose of violet and lavender, leading into a sophisticated palate of anise, chocolate, coffee and white pepper (more savory than the Altero above). Concentrated with still grippy tannins (showing the strength of the vintage) and closing with a mineral-laden finish.

June 16, 2019 - Disappointed in this wine. I opened it expecting great things. However the Sangiovese-ness was over powering. Fruit was there, but muted. Backbone definitely there. Just not enjoyable. Maybe this is my palate. Fairly singular.

September 16, 2018 - Nice nose, taste and finish. Great with my italian meal!

August 31, 2018 - Very good wine. Mature with a lot of tertiary characteristics and also had a lot of fruit. Much better than the last bottle. I’d say it’s in a prime window now.
