February 19, 2024 - This is a great wine! The acid and sweetness have such balance. Myriad fruit, flower, and, mineral traits show, many times all at once.
January 20, 2024 - Golden. Nose and palate with apricots, flowers, lime, nuts, black tea and spices. Medium intense nose. On the palate it shows more vigor and intensity. Great balance of acidity and sweetness. Long. 5/13/18/10. -2035+ if perfectly cellared since release.
August 19, 2023 - Popped and poured. Lovely cool floral nose. Medium bodied, fleshy with good acidity. One the palate lime, citrus, petrol, cashews, and a little honeysuckle. Mature but still loads of life ahead. Really delicious.
August 18, 2023 - Golden yellow in color. Aromas of yellow and orange citrus, yellow peaches, florals, smoky herbs and honeysuckle. A sweet and fruity palate shows ripe honey poached yellow orchard pit fruits, herbs, quite good acidity and a long perfectly off-dry finish.
February 4, 2023 - Popped and poured. Another great bottle of this. Early maturity. Great focus and acidity. Lime, pear, tropical fruits minerals come through. There is a vivacity and freshness to this which makes it so easy to drink now.
October 28, 2022 - Popped and poured. Tropical fruit, lime, pear, petrol. Medium bodied, good acidity but at the same time generous and delicious. Not a particularly complex wine but showing lots of pleasure.
August 10, 2022 - Upon opening at cellar temp this bottle seemed a bit heavy and lacking in acid, but after an hour of air and a brief chill in the refrigerator, is showing much better. Exotic nose of pineapple, quinine, and lime zest. The palate feels a bit viscous but the acidity manages to cut through it once the wine has been chilled sufficiently. Not much development here and still very primary. This worked well with Filipino pork skewers with a spicy soy vinegar and will need suitable food to keep from being cloying- I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much on its own.
July 27, 2022 - Popped and poured. Subtle nose of white flowers, tropical fruits and some herbs. The wine is medium bodied, very refined and pure with crisp acidity. Apples, lime, petrol, some tropical notes and minerals come through. Lovely finish. Still long life ahead.
February 6, 2022 - Medium dark yellow. Honeyed lemon bouquet. Lemon, honey sweeps across the palate with a mineral streak and some TDN notes. Sweetness well balanced by acidity. Long final.
Last bottle of these, but this was a great value purchase.
August 24, 2021 - Much more honeyed than the ‘13 leistenberg kabinett I opened a few days ago. Much more tropical fruit, carmelized pineapple, wish for a bit more acid, bit clingy on the finish but delicious.
