May 12, 2014 - PnP. Smells like berry juice (black currant, blackberry), "scorched earth"/ burnt tortilla, dark chocolate, cigar tobacco; has a streak of sappy, rooty freshness; oak is evident, but moderate and not out of place. On the palate, a little less characterful, but enjoyable enough. Berries, earth, and dark chocolate flavors are fairly cohesive; medium-full bodied; fairly dry, only a hint of sweetness; decent acidity. I'm not really a Napa cab fan, but this isn't bad; seems like a good value.
February 25, 2014 - Great, full taste. is at its peak. does not taste like it would gain with age at this point (2/2014)
December 29, 2013 - - Aromas of black currant and cherry and has flavours of raspberry, strawberry and cherry - Bold and full of fruit, cherry's on the nose with a semi-smooth silk finish.
August 6, 2013 - Great nose. Rich Cherry and pepper. Very drinkable.
June 1, 2013 - This wine is boring. It has too much oak and not enough acid.
April 6, 2013 - - Garnet color. It's somewhat balanced with a medium body. Smooth texture with a short finish - This wine is nice to the nose, fruity, and pleasant to the eye. It is low on tannins, has low acidity, is balanced, and is easy to drink. Its flavor is complex but fades away relatively quick and might be over-powered when combined with medium/strong meals (i.e. a matured cheddar and up). The wine is a typical representation of californian wines within that price bracket and lacks the presence of some of its european counterparts. All in all, I was expecting a little bit less and was well surprised.
March 25, 2013 - Lots of purple and black fruits with a bit of spiciness. A touch sweet. Listed as 14.5% ABV, but comes off as hotter and thus obscuring the flavors. I think that some time will help this wine a bit, but it will never be anything special. Currently it tastes like a $15 supermarket wine.
March 14, 2013 - Medium to full bodied with teeth coating tannins, although not to tannic to enjoy. Dark fruit flavors with a bit of sweetness that softens the tannins.
March 3, 2013 - A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Cab blend, with blackberry, black cherry, very juicy, some vanilla spice on finish. Better values out there.
February 24, 2013 - This isn't what it was a few years ('07) ago but it's still enjoyable as accompaniment to a nice steak.
