September 15, 2013 - 65% Syrah, 32% Mouvedre, 3% Viognier, great coffee ground aroma with red fruit and clove, crisp, tannic, hearty but not hot. Great value.

  • AWBryce Does not like this wine:

August 5, 2013 - Spices and dark fruit on the nose, with huge sulfur that didn't blow off.

A fairly fruity palate, with smooth tannins and nice acidity, but noticeable heat.

June 18, 2013 - Remember price point on this one. Delivers decent value. Found it had a bite of bite right out of the gate. Nice cigar finish with spice and blackberry Not a fav but no complaints. One and a half Yums

June 2, 2013 - Split decision on this...spouse thought it tasted tinny, but this is my review. The Syrah is predominant in color, nose and taste. That said, the Mouvedre softens it just a tad (this is still a robust red) and the 3% Viognier, a white wine, gives it just a hint of floral. This was an $11-12 bottle of wine and I thought it delivered a nice punch, with a hit of finesse, especially for the price range. No one would mistake this for one of the better red Rhone blends out there, but for the price, it delivers. Tad smoky with a touch of oak and a bit of tannin left. Good BBQ wine.
