    July 29, 2021 - Great!

July 14, 2021 - Nose: big black cherry nose with some wet stone, herbs and plum candy notes. Palate: Seamless and perfectly integrated tannin, black fruit, glycerin, leather and just a touch of thyme. Heat pokes out a bit on the back palate. Finish: lengthy and dark.

PNP for full enjoyment now. Best bottle of this yet. Served this at our wedding and kept a case to enjoy at anniversaries. Happy anniversary to my wife!

June 1, 2021 - My 3rd bottle in under 60 days. Same tasting notes as before. Enjoyable, dark berries, and full bodied. Shafer always hits the spot and the 2010 has held up well for a 2nd wine.

April 11, 2021 - More or less consistent with previous tasting note, although this bottle was noticeably more tannic than our bottle from five years ago, which surprised me. Hard to know which of the two bottles is representative, but another five years in the cellar can't hurt, right?

April 10, 2021 - Almost a year since I last tried a bottle. Last time I PNP'd while this time I opened slow ox'd for an hour or so and then decanted and let sit for two hours and it did make a difference. The nose was dark fruit with a hint of fresh cut wood. The palate was dark berries, dark plum, cassis, a little wood and a touch of thyme which came out on the finish which was moderate to long. Served with a roasted leg of lamb which was crusted with panko, garlic, rosemary and dijon mustard. I have one bottle of the 2010 left and I will save it until next year to see if it develops further. With the disorganization downstairs in my cellar it will probably take me a year to find it anyway, Happy Sunday everyone
