November 22, 2021 - WOTN against absolute 100 points giants from Dana at Bowery Meat NYC - the nose was very memorable and enormous out of a Burgundy glass, palate supremely integrated at the 13-year purist mark for Napa Cabs, mouthfeel smooth and rounded, aftertaste lingers 60+ seconds, basically impeccable from a holistic perspective, makes me crave what the first wine offers this vintage. Absolutely classic, quintessential Napa in every sense.

November 6, 2021 - Bold right out of the gate. Extremely smooth and balanced. The more time it spends opening up it continues to get better. Light cherry on the front with currant and soft tannins

June 4, 2021 - Decanted two hours, which may have been a mistake as it was in a confused phase when we began to drink it and kept changing over the next hour. At its best, silky dark fruit and chocolate. Scarecrows are always interesting and this is a terrific second wine.

February 15, 2021 - - Brick color - Decanted for 2 hours. Aromas intense, eucalyptus, menthol, cassis, currant. Full body, moderate acidity, elegant silky tannins, balance is awesome. Long, fruity and licorice on the finish. Very complex wine, a real treasure.

December 2, 2019 - Pop and pour with domestic wagyu New York steaks. Somehow the ripe Napa fruit floats above a balanced palate of fine tannins, cassis, cherry, and light acid. A pricey second wine for sure but the quality is there. At peak, drink over the next few years.

September 10, 2019 - Nice bottle of wine. Eleven years in the tannins are well integrated and the fruit is still fresh. Dark color, medium to full body. Not super complex.

September 21, 2018 - sappy, big fat wine, too much caramel for my liking. i think the charitable interpretation is that this wine is not fully integrated. The patriarch found pleasure in the stuffing and when pointed out i agree that there are multiple layers and potential complexity here. hold until 2025 (or longer)
