November 13, 2021 - dark ruby in color and no bricking. shows incredibly young. nose is initially closed but began to open up an hour after . scents of rose, pine, and sous Bois. on the palate, the wine still had plenty of tannins. the cherry fruit was initially muted but began to show nicely as time passed. there were some secondary flavors of balsamic, mint, and some plum. very surprised that this had shown very little aging. many years left on the bottle. the wine developed a nice depth and weight over the several-hour drinking period. Give it a good decant and wait an hour or so before you begin to drink it. an imposing masculine style that went well with roast pork.

October 17, 2018 - Right up my alley. Soft nose with dried strawberry, sweet tobacco and blood orange. Good acidity on the palate, a touch of bitterness, and nice depth. Some grainy tannin on the finish, and drinking very well right now, but could easily develop more secondary characteristics.

December 22, 2015 - Pale amber with light bricking, in a distinctly feminine style with a beautiful nose of tar, sweet tobacco, red cherry and a rosehips, very smooth resolved tannins, good acidity and a gorgeous long finish. A still lovely wine that I nonetheless feel is starting to dry out and is therefore on the downslope now compared to earlier bottles. Lovely but not getting any better I fear.
