August 5, 2017 - Weekend with Dad Up North; 8/4/2017-8/5/2017: Very dark red/purple color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes. Very consistent with my note from two years ago, this is more structured and still shows some wood. Good out of the gate, about five minutes in glass and it was ready. Pretty straightforward with cassis, black cherry, wood, some herbal tones on the palate, and dusty firmish tannins on a fairly full bodied frame. 89+ to 90pts.
