May 29, 2016 - Decent enough, but wouldn't hold onto this much longer. Simple and straightforward; the 2011 Coastalina we had recently was much better.

April 9, 2016 - Wasn't sure what to expect, but this was singing. The thing you notice most is it has an extra acidic cut to it. But it's far from thin and it's balanced quite nicely. We drank it without food although my immediate thought was "this would be really great with a meal". Only thing holding this back slightly is the nose which isn't overly expressive. Theres a touch of herbs in there with a mild red fruit aroma but not something you notice far from you glass. That said if it had that as well it would be up with my all time favorites.

October 4, 2015 - Medium ruby. Just a hint of violet on the nose, but the palate has beautiful cherry, cranberry, mineral and hint of cedar. Acidic enough to pair well with rich food. Medium to long finish. This is drinking beautifully now, but certainly no rush. My last bottle of this and sorry to see it go.

February 14, 2014 - Consumed over 2 nights. Initially PnP, then drank over 1+ hr. on 1st night. Better than the last time I recall. Ripe & tart raspberry, cranapple, sprinkling of spice, mineral, pine needle. Elegant & finessed w/soft integrated tannins, crisp acidity & a short clean finish. On 2nd nght this showed a similar profile w/laser-like minerality as the 1st time I had this. Evolving nicely & should continue to improve w/a little more cellaring.

January 6, 2014 - Medium garnet in color, has what seems like the telltale Russian River nose of crushed berries, spice, and pine, then rich, succulent, but reserved medium cherry/raspberry fruit, lovely spice and earth, great acidity, a mouth full of flavor that draws you back quickly for another gulp. Good richness and intensity, but not a drop of candied or syrupy character. A terrific California Pinot, full of deliciousness.

March 31, 2013 - Drank this on its own this time instead of with dinner, and the impression was more positive. Still a riper expression of Pinot than I typically go for, but I got a better sense of balance this time around.

March 10, 2013 - I continue to be amazed at how the Ceritas pinots hit all of the excellent high-toned notes without even the slightest hint of overipeness. The nose is full of berry and floral aromas, and the palate has the presence to back up these flavors. A moderate, zippy acidity keeps the fruit refreshing. The tannins are well integrated already, but this wine would probably benefit from a few more years in the cellar-- if you can keep your hands off of it (our group plowed through this bottle in no time).

January 19, 2013 - Vivid nose of fresh dark berries, chalk, subtle spice, and bramble. The palate is lifted, boasting focused dark cherry fruit livened by dried flowers. The mid-palate is impressive, later lending weight to finishing elements of tart blackberries, spice box, and wet stone. This is fresh and exceedingly enjoyable, but it is also pushing the QPR boundary at $40. R&M90

December 22, 2012 - Double-decanted 2 hours and then consumed over 2+ hrs. Floral bouquet w/aromas of tart cherry, stone fruit, wet rocks & a good dose of minerality. Likewise flavors on palate, with finely integrated tannins, good amount of acidtiy, medium-bodied & a clean moderate finish.
