September 30, 2022 - Vinøs hyttetur; 9/30/2022-10/1/2022: Blind. Ganske mørk, fine bobler, kamfer og krydder, noe kompleksitet; litt kort, frisk, bitter finish, litt tyggemotstend, ganske enkel i munnen.
December 19, 2021 - Clearly showing its age with some oxidative note/oxidation (I was not expecting this oxidation). Nutty (a little Krug note), mushroom, a hint of honey, yellow apple.
Light effervescence. While I really enjoyed it, I thought the light oxidation made it a little flat.
January 6, 2021 - excellent
May 24, 2018 - Post Tyrrell's Dinner @ GC: Disgorged 30/10/2012. 100% Pinot noir. Ginger and bruised apple, cherry and nutty elements. Nice moderate oxidative character with good acidity and freshness on the palate through the great acid cut. Like the style and the position this is sitting in now.
May 24, 2018 - Disgorged 30/10/2012.
Light gold. Refreshing acidity with some oxidative complexities, that carry some earthy, mushroom flavours together with a citrus like acidity. Decent length still.
March 19, 2017 - Plenty of Fidele typicity here, but I preferred this vintage a few years ago when there was more flesh on the bones.
April 27, 2016 - Slightly advanced in color - burnished gold. Same on the nose - showing a little more mature than I might expect. On the palate there's great acidity and freshness along with rich pinot fruit. A nice showing.
Although this seems advanced, I'm willing to guess there's plenty of gas in the tank.
April 5, 2016 - This was quite closed and fino sherry like for the first glass, but opened up as it got more air. Once it opened up, the acidity was driving this along quite nicely and plenty going on in the glass. As noted, not for everyone and a challenging style for this looking for straight forward fizz. Might need to decant future bottles?
November 21, 2015 - Wowed by how this evolved from linear and lean into a big, spciy richer wine over several hours. Can't wait to taste another bottle.
October 17, 2015 - Disgorged on 12/12/2011, purchased from Garagiste. A bit pricey but solid, and worth the price. Displays a lot of upfront minerality, yeastiness, and dried green apple. Excellent effervescence and acidity. Perfect accompaniment with an appetizer of almond coated Brie with maple, bacon, onion jam
