March 20, 2015 - Very pleasantly surprised with this wine. I'm far from being an expert, but it almost feels like a well aged wine.
Brownish garnet with a brick rim. Lots of tiny legs appear in my glass.
Heady bouquet at the beginning, but quickly mellows; displaying mineral, wet pavement and spices.
Light-medium body, with a mellow and rather complex, velvety palate: cigar box and cooked prunes; with vanilla and citrus undertones.
Soft tannin structure and low acidity, with a medium red velvet cupcake finish (surprise!).
    Excellent QPR!

January 8, 2014 - - Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of blackberry and chocolate. It's unbalanced and has flavours of blackberry, raspberry and almond with a light/medium body. Narrow texture with a medium finish.

September 24, 2013 - Mon dieu. I would not recognize this as wine. The nose is redolent of plastic, windshield-wiper fluid, bleach, and new shower curtain. On the palate, the chocolate comes through as the type of cheap dollar-store chocolate that doesn't actually contain any chocolate. Finishes slightly hot, with an odd Szechuan peppercorn like nasal burn. I broke the glass while washing it out after this.

    Drink now or hold.
