March 18, 2024 - Nothing formal. Showing no signs of its 13 year age. Did not decant but probably could have.

    August 30, 2023 - Tasted after a 60 minute decant.
Dark ruby in colour with somewhat restrained aromas of earthy, slightly jammy black fruit with leather & mocha. On the palate, full bodied, juicy black fruit, cassis/blackberry, well integrated oak/cedar, eucalyptus/menthol, leather, medium acidity, high soft tannins with a long finish to smoky & dusty minerality.
This wine tastes quite fresh considering it’s 13 years old. And it is well balanced with respect to fruit, oak, tannins, alcohol & acidity at this stage in its life. Some life left, but good reason to drink up now.

January 20, 2023 - PNP, followed over the evening. Nice ripe nose and palate of dark fruit, cassis, plum, cedar and chocolate. Fruit forward, full bodied, silky mouthfeel. enough acidity to keep fresh, handles the alcohol well. Long finish. Classic Napa cab, at peak but no rush.

August 5, 2022 - dark but clear. fragrant nose of dark berries, cassis in particular, strong spicy aromas, detectable alcohol, cedar, cinnamon. palate is vibrant and lively. fruity with a slight herbal green bitterness but it finishes sweet. some welcome and nicely integrated tannin on the close. a fruit fwd but very enjoyable napa cab. at peak, should hold here for a few years.

December 24, 2021 - One of the most subtle cabs I’ve had. Smooth, balanced and very pleasant.

I would say it is at its peak.
