December 8, 2018 - A hint of eucalyptus on the nose. Smooth tannins, velvety mouthfeel. Some tartness on the back end with a medium+ finish. The smoothness of the wine is noticeable. Dark fruits, blackberry prominent.

October 24, 2018 - Catching up on notes , not much more to say from last review. Outstanding wine needs at least a hour in a decanter to settle down. Probably outrageous with a longer decant but it is so good it is hard to wait. One of my favorite cabs the past few years . Nose is a bouquet of berries tobacco and the inside of a Belgian chocolate shop. Nice lingering finish. Paired with a dry aged duck dish and a dark berry sauce. Wonderful

October 12, 2018 - Seriously. Just superb. If one knows what the finer wines should be, well, it just doesn't get too much better than this one. 2+ hour decant is needed. Do not touch before.

December 28, 2016 - This wine maybe 11 years old, but it drinks like a toddler.

Deep ruby red/crimson on the glass. The nose was tight at first but then it opened up and stared showing some age by combining ripe raspberry, black cherries, and currants with licorice, tobacco, and baking spices. The palate was dominated by acid at first but two hours into the decant it really smoothed out and the tannins started to show balancing the acid and showing dark cherries, raspberries, Expresso and hints of cocoa that blended with then smooth tannins to give this wine a long cocoa finish.

This wine needs a 3+ hour decant anything less will be a waste and it has the potential to improve 2-4 points.
