April 30, 2016 - Dark purple/garnet. Opaque. Deep fruit on the nose. Hint of effervescence on the palate but this is pleasant. Bold but complex fruit; blackberry, mint maybe hint of chocolate. Tannins all integrated now. Probably at its best. A steak wine.

March 4, 2013 - Nose is full of sweet fruit, plums, lacking some freshness. Taste is almost full bodied, with good acidity and lots of fruit. Ok but not great.

August 26, 2012 - Sweet fruit, peppery CF character, drying bitters, seems disjointed.

May 2, 2012 - Concentrated purple. Deep and profound nose with raspberry and freshly mown lawn, touch of aniseed, all of it swept in a lactic robe, evidence of heavy malo. Full bodied, fine tannins, a whack of varietal fruit aromas, and then that malo comes back to haunt, finishing a bit square, no fresh acidity. It's a modern styled wine, commercial, clean, correct, but is this excessive malo really necessary? This wine would have been so much more interesting if some of the acids had been left in peace.
