November 19, 2022 - Delicious, in balance and likely at peak.
April 25, 2021 - Dark purple. This was terrific, one of the best Tempranillos I have had this year , great balance of dark fruits, savory, and acidity . Will keep getting this.
September 6, 2020 - Excellent.
June 15, 2020 - Decanted through a filter due to heavy sediment. Opened up relatively quickly. Smooth, rich and deep. In prime drinking window, and don't expect that waiting longer will lead to any improvements.
April 23, 2020 - DnP: dark ruby, black berry on nose, medium to full bodied; sweet mid palate, dark berries, licorice, briary lasting finish; opened with time
August 13, 2019 - PnP 55 deg; dark ruby; tight nose to begin with; medium to full bodied; dark berry some spice, pleasant sweet tannins lasting finish; opens up with time; spices; drinking very nicely with likely years to come
September 21, 2018 - I like it. Loads of dark fruits, some red fruits, a little spice and herbs. Tannins are still a bit ridged even after an hour in the decanter, but smooth enough on palate.
June 23, 2018 - I generally don’t enjoy Tempranillo, but I really liked this wine. First, it is ready to drink now, though appears to have many years ahead for an appropriate drinking window. There are obvious Epoch “fingerprints” on this wine in terms of style even though this varietal is quite different from their typical Rhône reds. Tannins are modest, fruit is prevalent, and finish is long.
July 7, 2017 - This...was...so...yummy...
May 1, 2017 - Needs time to still mellow out. Drank over two nights and still felt like time would help. Rich big flavors. Classic Epoch. When in the mood this is nice.
