November 4, 2021 - very nice but much better the next day, very enjoyable everyday drinker

October 22, 2018 - Pepmi’s note is spot on; it’s challenging to find a wine, not just from Napa but anywhere, that offers this depth of flavor for this price. Took an hour to open up. Classic Bordeaux cedar and blackcurrent bouquet, positively voluminous in the mouth with a near chewy texture. Rich red fruit and leathery flavors on palate. Tannins still present but not obtrusive. The length and complexity isn’t at the level of a well-run classified growth, but it shows why Bordeaux is what it is. Nobody besides Bordeaux is doing cab/merlot blends at this level for this this price. Wish I had bought 3 cases instead of six bottles. Will drink well for at least five years, and probably ten.

May 8, 2016 - A wonderful everyday food wine showing a broad nose of berry, cassis and leather. Balanced and moderate finish. I would drink this everyday on a dessert island if I had to choose versus most Napa wines under $75.00. Drinking at its peak right now.

September 21, 2015 - My note in 2013 turned out fairly prescient. Tannins have softened a tad. More supple but limited in development. That's not a knock: it's table Bordeaux and continued to do a great job accompanying food. A good time to drink, as this will likely go from where it is now to thin with no transition.

January 23, 2013 - seems to need meat, as noted by other tasters. clashed with artichokes (mais bien sur) but good w/ burgers.
