October 23, 2022 - Clear deep ruby/garnet; clean medium nose of balsamic, dust, dried blackberries, ripe red cherries and dry leaves; dry; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of dark cocoa and tar; long finish; drink now or in a few years; decent wine - not as good as I remember

October 17, 2020 - Quite a classic Bordeaux but a little difficult vintage I find... Aromas quite Primary still with lots of Red Cherry, and then dominant aromas of Cinnamon following... 91/100 JP

February 7, 2020 - I’ve always like this wine and it was the first Bordeaux that I bought many years ago that was more than $75.

In the bottle we found a wine still primary but showing some secondary characteristics. While drinking well with a solid decant of 2-3 hours there are a lot of unresolved tannins which nonetheless lent structure to the black fruits and creamy vanilla. The finish was long, if a bit raspy. It will further develop and being a small year I would expect it will give great pleasure in 3-5 years.

October 1, 2019 - Completely average and nondescript right bank Bordeaux. Not a good value.
