July 16, 2017 - Great wine from a warm location between RRV and Dry Creek. Red fruit primary with some secondary flavors building, balanced, touch of spice, nice finish. No need to rush remaning bottles.
March 24, 2014 - - Purple color with medium forming legs and aromas of raspberry. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of raspberry with a light/medium body. Narrow texture with a medium finish - Nice and dry
January 10, 2014 - Tasted blind. Nose is very expressive and speaks of the Russian River with ripe pinot notes, soy, smoke, cranberry and a slight honey note. Good acid in the mouth, broad texture and fleshy tannins. Slight sour cherry linger in the finish. Overall a nice Pinot with oak in context. Nice
December 25, 2013 - S: earthy, truffles, lots of forest notes T: woody, cedar, brawny. Some dark cherry, cranberry on the mid. This is a pinot that's on the earthy side instead of fruity.
November 16, 2013 - An 89+ score jacked up to a ninety because I like the cherry/strawberry flavor profile and the fact that it is not too extracted. Root elements lend complexity. A nice one.
September 8, 2013 - Lucked out with this one while touring wineries in Northern Sonoma County. Alderbrook was clearing space and selling many of their wines for $90.00 per case. This is about the 5th bottle I have had from the case, and each one has been very much what would be expected from Russian River Pinot Noir. Definately should have scored another case.
November 29, 2012 - Dark ripe fruit, cherry, almost going into a darker moment. At $29.99 its ok but not amazing at that price to me.
