    July 4, 2023 - Mike and Jeannie’s 50th in DC.

Fresh and lively, generous fruit, color is still garnet. Rose hip aroma. A little meaty at PnP. Wildly good for a basic PN at 13yrs out.

Day 6 and holding on unbelievably well. Note is not much different than day 1. Gets a little savory and deep dark fruited. Pairs just fine with Dosa.

14 day ferment, native yeast, no racking, 10% new French for 11m. 14.9%

August 14, 2022 - In a great spot now. Great fruit with a tamarind nuance. Great balance, still youthful. Drink now or hold for 3-5 yrs. Peaking now I would say.

January 15, 2022 - I loved this wine. The Pinots I've drank from Josh Jensen have incredible age ability and this is no exception. Savored it in the glass between sips. That is the sign of a wine that deserves a nice score.

May 8, 2021 - Black cherries, wet forest floor, and hints of sassafras and vanilla. A rather full bodied pinot still showing plenty of ripe fruit and pleasant finish.

February 16, 2019 - 14,9% alcohol for a Pinot Noir must be warning! Drink chilled, around 14 degrees. It's a big, and okay, it's tasty, but...
When your benchmark for Pinot Noir is basic Burgundy this is too big, lacks freshness and identity.

May 18, 2018 - Lots of sweet cherry and a hint of earth on opening. Second day there was more acidity that I noticed. It was enjoyable with cheese and crackers.

October 29, 2017 - OK. Not nearly as good as prior bottle. Cola notes on muted fruit. High acidity

August 11, 2017 - My last bottle of this truly great Pinot. Made from 6 different vineyards (see my 4/4/13 note), 7 years young it still has all the same characteristics as it did back in 2013, great nose of cherries and strawberries and sour cherries and raspberry on the palate, nice long finish. Cherry pie in a glass, vibrant and delicious. Certainly this has several years left. If you are reading this and have a few bottles to sell please contact me gary.w.hargreaves@gmail.com - Thanks
