March 3, 2017 - Clear, fresh, smoky minerality, more salt and menthol than fruit in the forefront. Milky/chalky notes that might remind of oak but the wine is unoaked.

February 5, 2017 - Very pale. Recent purchase. Sufficient fruit and depth for high acidity. Medium bodied. Good length. Classic dry Chenin Blanc. Still young. Last many years.

December 6, 2016 - Unfortunately never saw the full potential here. This was left open for an hour before serving, and then consumed over another 1.5 hours. I felt it was pretty bland overall and not as high-acid as I expected/wanted. A lot of pear and green-apple aromas but not much else. The palate felt oily, a little flabby and a bit nondescript in flavour overall. It only really opened up when there was about a mouthful left in the last glass. A bit of cut grass, orange zest and almost-volatile citrus fruit aromas started to peek through the curtains, but the palate was still a little unbalanced and lacking in flavour and interest for me. I should have decanted it.

November 18, 2016 - Screwcap. Lactic, creamy, some dried white flowers. Honeycomb, slightly caramel, creamed green peach, round and with some viscosity, nice freshness from the mid-palate back. Unusually round and lactic for Savennieres, but nice

March 7, 2016 - This is developing very nicely. It's getting the secondary notes of butterscotch that Savennieres get on the deep. more bass palate. It seems big richer now too. Ready now and probably at peak soon. Sorry to have only one left (A-)!

February 27, 2016 - A private dinner (Restaurant De Treeswijkhoeve **, Waalre, Netherlands): White flowers, hint of lanolin, citrus zest, fresh linen, juicy acidity, lovely bitters, white chocolate, smoky minerality, rounded for a Savennières, oval shape, lovely length. Stylish and delicious.

April 10, 2015 - Consistent with my other notes, this was a medium bodied, elegant expression of Loire chenin. Great QPR and still evolving (A-).
