January 26, 2020 - garnet hue; nose of clove, cinnamon and cigar box; light tannins with strong black fruits and cassis. Slightly sweet long aftertaste.
Days later, after stoppered at room temp, it had improved! Velvety cassis mousse with the cinnamon tart, wonderful! 89 -> 90. -

August 3, 2017 - Great nose of dark ripe fruit. Palate has fruit and lots of pepper and spice. Very strong acid backbone carries the wine, but balances the fairly large tannic profile. 1 hour decant and it probably needed more. Still at least 5 years, probably 2x that. A little tight still.
Tasty and quality. Good with stir fry. -

July 17, 2016 - Decanted two hours which really helped it open up to compared to PNP. Drinking wonderfully right now. Complex, smooth, delicious. Plenty of life left.
