March 12, 2023 - Medium body, medium acidity, medium/high tannins. On the palate: hints of leather, plums, and black fruits. Medium/long sweet fruity finish. Not great for this price point, and definitely past its peak so should be had soon.

September 9, 2022 - A blend of 55% CS, 40% Merlot and 5% CF. Medium+ garnet red colour, ruby hue. Medium intensity aroma of barnyard, leather, cassis hints, undergrowth, tar. Medium body, lean and fresh black fruit flavours, earthy and chalky nuances, some austerity in mid palate along sandy structured tannins, juicy mid length finish.

September 19, 2021 - Dark ruby and does shows very little age. Lovely nose of dark fruit and wet forest. Blackberry, bright red cherries with surprisingly high acidity. Tannins still rather present and could need a couple years more. Spicy and mineral medium finish. Not bad for a mediocre vintage.

October 16, 2019 - Chef Michel Roux Jr & Lafon-Rochet (Basile Tesseron) Wine Dinner - Roux at Parliament Square. Limited notes.
Considering the vintage, not at all bad! Mature feel. Typical Lafon green herb combining with the bramble and plum fruit. On the lighter side and some marked if integrated acidity.
Good food claret for up to 10-12 years from vintage.

June 30, 2018 - My 100th tasting note! Unfortunately I dropped this bottle in my cellar, so I now have this typical French chateau cellar smell at home as well. The bottle broke but fortunately I was able to rescue one last glass from it, which I saved for the evening. Deep dark red color. On the nose lots black fruits and wood dominated smells. Medium acidity, medium finish. Very nice.

June 16, 2018 - Tasted next to 2015. Good fruit, quite mineral, spicy and very fresh. The tannins are a bit rustic, but the overall balance is good. Vibrant, grippy, bright finish. 89-91

May 27, 2018 - From a magnum. Very good St-Estèphe, showing a nice structure for this weak vintage. The balance is excellent, but overall the wine lacks in intensity and complexity. You can certainly wait a few more years, especially in magnums, but I don't think it will improve by much. Enjoy before 2021.
