July 19, 2020 - Excellent. Bday brunch so I can only say buy, buy, buy. Approachable now but with a long future ahead.

June 14, 2020 - The taste was exquisite, and the mousse was divine. A perfect addition to our 40th Anniversary celebration.

January 6, 2020 - Light gold color. Drank several glasses over 2 hours. I brought this to dinner for my son's 30th bday. Very impressive nose, this bursts with fresh air, toast, pastry cream, and bright green orchard fruits. The palate has ultra fine bubbles with a delicate creamy texture. This is really the epitome of refinement. There's depth here, yet this is a nuanced wine of elegance and not power or weight. I suspect that has something to do with the surprisingly low scores I see on CT. The acidity is there, yet very balanced with the lacy minerality and green fruits, lemon chiffon and almond extract. This drinks well now though I expect it will be even better over a few m9re years. 94+ to 95pts.

January 1, 2020 - NYE dinner. Bright acidity and vigorous bubbles. My first impression was that the fruit felt very concentrated. Lots of lemon and apple but with some dry chalky minerality. Maybe more time would have expanded and nuances the flavor. This was essentially free because we had so many expiring dining comp points at the casino but I if paying real money with a steakhouse markup it would have been disappointed.

November 17, 2019 - Light gold. Quite forward. Pear tart notes. Feels ripe and rich on the nose. Palate is rounded, showy but not real in a complex way, just lots of ripe fruit which just feels sweet after a glass and especially noticeable as it warmed up. The Roderer team didn’t handle the heat and ripeness of the vintage very well I feel it is missing the uplifting and refreshing acidity of the 2006 and 2007. Given the price a vintage of Cristal to avoid and go and enjoy 2 bottles of Comtes de Champagne 2006 for almost the same price and it is better!
