June 20, 2023 - This kept improving the longer it was open. Before it fully opened up, oak notes were somewhat instrusive; but with time, they fell away, revealing a perfectly balanced Chianti, with some nice age on it. I have additional bottles that I will enjoy over the next 3-5 years.

June 2, 2022 - Decanted for an hour. Very little brick at the rim. Nose showed some heat, as did early tastes, but as it opened up, red fruit (cherry) and leather came to the fore and alcohol receded. Became more complex over time, with pencil shavings and a hint of eucalyptus revealed. Lively acidity and ripe tannins showing more and more. No rush.
